Thank you for your interest in becoming a Functional Medicine patient with Bryan Reid DC at Your Health Solutions. Please read and understand all the information below before deciding to apply.
Dr. Reid’s clinical practice is tailored to a select group of patients. It takes tremendous time and energy to manage a complicated case. The patients who typically do well working with Dr. Reid are highly motivated and dedicated to evaluating their case with great depth. Successful management of such cases requires appropriate testing, diagnosis, financial commitment, and realistic clinical expectations.
Insurance
Your Health Solutions does not take any form of health insurance for Functional Medicine, and does not provide insurance codes, superbills, special letters, or any other special invoices or receipts for insurance purposes.
Dr. Reid has a private practice near St. Louis, Missouri. To become a patient under his care, you must undertake the two-step process outlined below.
Step One: Case Review
Dr. Reid has a unique clinical practice that focuses on the needs of individuals experiencing complex and chronic health issues. To ensure he is the right person to help you reach your healthcare goals, he has developed a “case review” process. To begin this process, you must complete an application with several health questionnaire forms, a detailed medical history, and recent laboratory results (if available). The application is downloadable on the clinic’s website under the “FORMS” tab. After the application is reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule a “Case Review” appointment via in-office or video teleconference. During the 60-90-minute appointment, Dr. Reid will review your application materials in detail and provide his expert opinion on his first impressions of your case. This is also your chance to meet him and ask questions about becoming his patient, and to see if he is the best choice for your healthcare provider.
Step Two: New Patient Exam
New patients should plan for 1 to 2 hours for a comprehensive evaluation with Dr. Reid. This new patient exam marks the start of a formal practitioner-patient relationship. Dr. Reid will use the information gathered from your health history, past labs, new patient exam findings, and any new lab tests to create an individualized treatment plan.
After your exam, and if necessary, he may refer you to local labs or medical offices for medical tests.
Follow-Up Appointments, Lab Tests, Supplements, And Costs
For the purposes of the case study, Dr. Reid asks new patients to schedule monthly follow-ups until it is determined that you are ready to see him at a longer interval.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled for 30-60 minutes. New patients typically need up to six follow-up appointments in the first year. Follow-up appointments can be scheduled for video teleconference, phone, or in-office.
Lab testing is performed by LabCorp and/or through various specialty Labs with blood drawn from Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Some testing can be performed at home with samples mailed to the lab overnight. For those not living in the St. Louis area, we can arrange for a local blood draw if available. Please note: We do not provide insurance codes or insurance-related receipts for any testing that is arranged and billed through our office.
As part of a functional medicine plan, nutritional supplements may be recommended for certain individuals.
The cost of a patient’s case management is unique to their specific needs. All details will be discussed during the case review appointment.
